Brian Nathan, Chairman - Non Executive

Brian (68) became Chairman in March 2008 and has over 30 years experience as a company director. His sector expertise includes consumer finance, hire purchase, leasing & equipment hire and property management.

In 1971, he successfully launched a power tool company, Brandon Hire Plc, which under his chairmanship grew to 45 outlets. Further expansion in 1985 saw a move into the hire of catering equipment.

He is an advisor to a large number of start-up companies

Paul Treadaway, CEO

Paul (57) has over 25 years experience in residential construction & development. He worked his way up to become executive director of a number of building and development companies dealing with both private and social sector housing.

He founded Farrell Boland Plc, a construction company specialising in public sector building and refurbishment, and Finsbury Ltd, a residential house builder.

He founded Wren in 1994 and developed it from being a land purchasing company through to an AIM listed specialist retirement housing group.

Mike O'Donnell, BSc ACA Finance Director

Chartered Accountant with 20 years experience. Having qualified at Baker Tilly in assurance and corporate finance has held senior roles within AIM listed companies as Finance Director leading fund raisings, acquisitions and disposals both in the UK and USA.

Mike joined Wren as Financial Director in October 2009.

Dominic Wainford, Commercial Director

Dominic (43) joined The Tilt Estate Company Ltd in 1985 and on its sale to BPT Ltd, a subsidiary of Grainger Plc, in 2007, was both owner and CEO.

From 2001 to 2008, he was a director of Willowone Ltd, a building company which focused on carrying out building renovations, extensions and maintenance of properties within the Tilt portfolio.

In 1997, he formed Wainford Holdings Ltd, which he continues to run as an investment company. Through Wainford Holdings, Dominic acquired a 19.5% interest in Wren at the end of October 2008. He has been Commercial Director since that time.

James Butterfield BSc (Econ) MBA; Director of Corporate Development / Group Company Secretary

James (64) joined 3i plc in 1969 and over a ten year period moved up to become a Local Area Manager and Director.

Since leaving 3i and over the last 30 years, he has specialised in advising small and medium sized companies in a wide range of areas, including stock market listings, mergers and acquisitions, fund raising and corporate recovery work.

His association with Wren goes back many years but with effect from October 2008 he was appointed company secretary.

Philip Self ACA Non Executive Director

Philip is a Chartered Accountant with nearly 20 years experience in corporate accountancy and tax work. He was Finance Director of Wren from 2004 through to September 2009 and now, with his experience of the Group, continues as a Non-Executive Director.
